Ongoing project 2023- With more than 8 billion people traveling on the tens of thousands of kilometers of rail every year, Indias railroad network is one of the largest and most complex in the world. The railway is one of the most efficient modes of transportation for both passengers and goods. In April 2023 India became the most populous country in the world and with a growing economy, India is committed to increase the amount of freight moved by rail as part of reducing overall emissions from transportation. |
